Bumpers

The Saturday Show initially used a series of bumpers to insert between two items on occasion. As the show had a graphical revamp on 12 January 2002, they were put into early retirement.

They were basically 'hip and trendy' phrases that had a plain English translation applied to them - well, see below to get the point!

to propel oneself along the information super highway
